Erika is an actress, writer and small-town Midwest girl whose awkwardly personal, short film Out of Tune, recently wrapped a successful festival tour. Her character-driven, coming of middle age dramadies feature off-beat Black characters shaped by identity, desire and paradoxical tension.

Her nuanced blend of vulnerability and strength has been sought after from top directors in commercial and film. Only recently has Erika has expanded into filmmaking. Her award-winning short films have screened at over 30 international film festivals. She is a member of Amy Aniobi’s TRIBE writing-mentorship program and is an active participant in mentoring teenagers through Prodigy Camp. Her latest personal project, Belief, centers the transcendent power of one Mother’s decision. It was written/directed by her husband Christian Loubek and also stars her 2 kids.
